Clear and simple
Privacy
Becoming is still in its early stages. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site currently asks for and what happens to it.
01
What you can choose to share
At the moment, the main place you can submit information is Pass It Forward. You can leave a first name or nickname, or leave that field blank, and you can write a message you would like to share.
Please do not include private contact details, sensitive personal information, or information that identifies somebody else.
02
How submissions are used
Pass It Forward submissions are stored so they can be reviewed before anything appears publicly. If a submission is approved, the message and the name or nickname you chose to provide may be shown on the public Pass It Forward page.
Submissions that are not suitable for the site are not published.
03
Technical information
The services that host and deliver Becoming may process basic technical information needed to keep the website working securely and reliably. Becoming also uses simple built-in visitor analytics so I can understand which pages are being viewed. This can include the page path, referrer, browser details, language and a country estimate derived from timezone.
The analytics session identifier is kept in memory only and is not stored on your device. Query strings, page hashes and IP addresses are not included in those analytics. Becoming is not currently asking visitors to create public member profiles or provide payment information.
If accounts, newsletters, payments or other features are added later, this privacy page will be updated before those features are relied on.
04
Your choices
You do not have to submit anything to use the public parts of Becoming. For privacy questions, corrections or removal requests, email privacy@keepbecoming.co.uk.
